John Salva - Physical Therapist, Founder
John helps people of all ages remain active and participate in the sports
Aside from Impact Physio, John is an adjunct professor at the University of Scranton and a member of the Sports Safety team at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NY.
John earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton in 1999. He has been certified in Dry Needling and as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He regularly attends continuing education seminars and has been a speaker at local and regional educational meetings. His interests include fitness, basketball, golf and time with family.
Dan Dolphin - Physical Therapist
Dan earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton in May of 2017. Dan previously worked for seven years as a Certified Athletic Trainer in which he provided sports coverage and worked with athletes from Lackawanna College, West Scranton, Scranton and Abington Heights.
His interest in helping athletes rehab from injuries and return to sport drove him to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist. Dan has completed two clinicals in the outpatient orthopedic settings. He also completed two clinicals in which he worked with patients following hip, knee and shoulder replacements in both the Home Health setting and directly post operation in the hospital.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and National Athletic Trainers Association. His interests include spending time with his family, golfing, fitness, being outdoors and basketball. He also likes to root for the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Eagles and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Teresa Salva - Practice Manager
Teresa obtained a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in 1998. She worked 16 years providing services to children and adolescents in the community mental health/drug & alcohol setting.
Throughout this time, Teresa developed an interest and skills needed for healthcare management, transitioning to the role of Practice Manager at Impact Physio in 2014.
Keeping a healthy work/life balance is important to Teresa. She spends spare time spoiling her dog, walking, and exercising. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Krystin Watson - Physical Therapist Assistant
Krystin attended Loma Linda University in Southern California to earn her Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assisting and graduated in 2013. She has experience in a wide range of settings including outpatient orthopedic, vestibular, TBI clinics, inpatient and more.
Krystin became interested in physical therapy when she herself needed physical therapy to rehab a hip injury. Since that day she has been focusing on improving others lives through physical rehabilitation.
When she is not at work at Impact Physio she is focusing on personal growth through reading and mentorship as well as physically staying active by horseback riding, weight lifting at the gym, and spending time with her dog, cat, and husband.. She is originally from San Diego, CA and relocated to NEPA in July 2018 for her husband to attend Geisinger’s Medical School.
